Description

Cooking and sharing food is a timeless ritual that connects us to our friends and family, our community and culture, as well as the local people who grow and raise the foods we eat.  But cooking for a larger group takes some planning and skills, let’s cover those skills, cooking together and then enjoying the fruits of our labour in this holiday cooking class.

In this community feast workshop, we will run through the basics of cooking techniques and make a classic holiday meal, hands on, to sample & share.  Learn how to brine and roast your showstopper mains as well as recipes and strategies for putting out fabulous side dishes. As we go through the process, we can answer people’s questions and discuss advice to make your holiday cooking delicious. We will also talk about where to get good, wholesome ingredients at reasonable prices.  All mixed in with some sharing of family recipes, menu planning, and some talk about what to do with the leftovers. You will go home  with  recipes and strategies, as well as a  jar of  fresh cranberry sauce and other goodies.
