This three segment zoom based mini intensive will focus on adding small livestock to your urban backyard for a source of meat, eggs and/or manure.

Raising Rabbits
Rabbits are an excellent choice for the urban environment. They are quiet, take up a small amount of space and a well maintained rabbitry is relatively un-smelly. We’ll talk about different breeds, housing, food and common health issues.
Backyard Chickens
Raising chickens for eggs or meat is fun and easy. We’ll cover options for housing, food, where to source your chickens and how to care for them.
Ducks, Geese, Quail, Pigeons, Turkeys and everything else!
We’ll touch on the basics of raising other fowl beyond chickens (and why you’d want to) as well as touching on other animals that might be included in a mini farm system.
Cost: $20-40 per segment or $60-120 for the day. No one turned away.
