Early Spring is the perfect time to get started with bees. In this intensive zoom talk I will introduce you to this miraculous keystone species and how to get started tending them. This is an information dense talk with powerpoint slideshow. We will start with introduction to the marvelous honeybee, biology, life cycles, communication systems and more. Essential information for wannabee beekeepers and bee-loving humans everywhere. Then we’ll get an overview of natural beekeeping methods including beekeeping systems (topbar, warre, langstroth), equipment and management strategies. Resource list and bibliography is included.
