Get ready for the summer bounty and learn the joy and simplicity of home canning! Canning is a wonderful way to preserve the bounty of summer. Eat ripe peaches in January and never worry about holiday gifts again! After a thorough introduction to the theory, safety issues, equipment and ingredients, we will put our new knowledge to practice and can up some seasonal fruits and vegetables. You will learn about jam, jellies, compotes, vinegar pickles, sauces and salsa, no-fail low sugar jams and some secrets about pectin.
This is a zoom based class. Get a supply list ahead of time and follow along with two projects at home!
